DDS Mentorship Panel
I would like to invite you to attend the DDS Mentorship Panel presented by the Nova Scotia Dental Association (NSDA) and the Faculty of Dentistry. This event will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at 6pm in room 3156. It is sure to leave you inspired about what lies ahead and help you on your road to success after dental school. We will be joined by a panel of five practicing dentists who will openly share their experiences in three key areas; dealing with student debt after graduation, best practices/advice for a successful start, and career planning and practice philosophy. It will be a great opportunity to ask questions about private practice and no question is too trivial. I encourage DDS students of all years to attend. Food and refreshments will be provided Please RSVP here by November 18th: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/dds-mentorship-panel-presented-by-the-nsda-tickets-80243473389 Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. NSDA is a great supporter of our school and we thank them for their efforts to have a positive impact on future practitioners!
SPEA Panel You are invited to attend Ethics and Professionalism: Real World Dentistry. It will be held on November 21st, at 5pm in Room 1200. There will be 4 dentists talking about situations they have faced in private practice and how they handled them. They will be open to answer questions you have. This will be a valuable experience to all years. Please RSVP in this poll (there will be food!)https://doodle.com/poll/rwnhn8wa6zusnqb4. If you have any dietary restrictions or any questions, please email email@example.com.
Hope to see you all there! Paige

Prep a meal at IWK
We are looking for 4-5 student volunteers for Monday, November 18th to help prepare a meal for the IWK family room. We ask volunteers to meet at 3:50pm on the main floor of the IWK Goldbloom Pavillion (by Subway and Tim Hortons). Cooking meals at the room usually takes about an hour, so all you need to bring is yourself! If you are interested, please sign up using the google doc linked below. Volunteers will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. These meals are very appreciated by the families who have loved ones in the hospital, so come join us to provide them with a warm cooked dinner.
